Living with Grief

Online Book Study

Overview

Grief comes all at once, settling itself into your core, refusing to leave. The effects of grief, loss, and mourning are long-lived, jarring against a world that feels as if it has moved on. But Christ outstretches His arms to you, inviting you into His presence to find healing and hope again.

Pastor Kristian Kincaid knows about grief. He has experienced being at the lowest point of grief and knows how Christ reaches out continuously for you to take His hands. After mourning the substantial loss of multiple family members, all taken in tragic ways, Pastor Kincaid wants to share what he’s learned with you. He’s seen how modern psychology offers an explanation, but only Christ offers relief.

This study will take you through four sessions about death, loss, grief, and comfort through Christ. The course is ideal for those still grieving months after their loss or for pastors looking for guidance on how to comfort others. Biblical application is wrapped throughout every session of this FaithCourse®, showing you Christ’s beauty through the grief. He will heal you again. Find His outstretched hands with Pastor Kincaid.

kincaid

Rev. Kristian Kincaid has served as a parish pastor for over thirty years, shepherding the flock for the last twenty-seven years at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dubuque, Iowa. He also serves St. Matthew in Sherrill, Iowa. He is blessed to be a husband and father, and to lovingly point families and flock to Christ, the Lamb once slain but who lives forever.

“The Lord is good, always. His promises stand, always. He loves and cares for you, always. I thought those very dark thoughts about God in times of sorrow in my life. We are frail and weak, but Christ is our strength. Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ.”
